This Tony Award-nominated, hilarious, roller skating, musical adventure about following your dreams despite the limitations others set for you, rolls along to the original hit score composed by pop-rock legends, Jeff Lynne and John Farrar. Based on the Universal Pictures cult classic movie of the same title, which starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly, Xanadu is hilarity on wheels for adults, children and anyone who has ever wanted to feel inspired. The Mt. Ararat Stage Company presents the stage adaptation of the 1980 cult classic film ‘Xanadu’ to the Orion Performing Arts Center, transforming the auditorium into an 80’s roller disco. ‘Xanadu’ follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mount Olympus to Venice Beach, California on a quest to inspire a struggling artist named Sonny. When Kira falls in love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation, and chaos abounds. Book by Douglas Carter Beane, The production is Directed and Choreographed by Adam P. “I got my start in magic by checking out magic books from the Topsham Library, and I did my first show at the old Topsham Grange hall," Peter says. The show is truly an amazing experience. Create-A-Play Theater/Art Summer Camp 2017
July 17-21, 9 am - 4 pm
Norway Savings Bank made a donation to support scholarships for campers. Thank You! Two scholarships have been awarded.
Summer day camp for middle-school age students, going into 6th-9th grades. Campers imagine the characters, collaborate to write a play, make the sets, props and costumes, and perform the play on the last day. Creative fun! Theater Director is Kathleen Nation. Limited space--20 campers only. There is still space for a few more campers, as of July 12. Registration forms available HERE.

Norway Savings Bank made a donation to support scholarships for campers. Thank You! Two scholarships have been awarded.
Summer day camp for middle-school age students, going into 6th-9th grades. Campers imagine the characters, collaborate to write a play, make the sets, props and costumes, and perform the play on the last day. Creative fun! Theater Director is Kathleen Nation. Limited space--20 campers only. There is still space for a few more campers, as of July 12. Registration forms available HERE.

Celebration of Life for Lance Libby Sat., Nov. 25, 1 pm
Lance taught and then substituted at MSAD No. 75 for over 45 years. His family invites the community to come and remember him.
Concert Bands -- Winter Concert Mt. Ararat High School & Middle School Bands Thurs. Dec. 14, 7 pm
Admission free. High School band and Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, 6th, 7th-and 8th-grade bands. Lots of young talent! Conducted by new MAMS Music teacher Rachel Williams, and Al Graffam.
