Fri, March 9, at 7 pm (this show ASL interpreted) Sat, March 10, at 3 pm Sun., March 11, at 3 pm
Produced by the Mt. Ararat Stage Company, with music and lyrics written by Richard Rogers and Oscar Hammerstein II, and a book written by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, ‘The Sound Of Music’ tells the story of the young, high-spirited postulant, who is sent from her convent to serve as the governess of widowed naval Captain Von Trapp’s seven children. As the German Nazi Party rises to power, Maria uses her musical gifts to lead the resentful children, and the Captain, from their strictly-disciplined world to a more joyful life. ‘The Sound of Music’ is certain to capture the hearts of individuals of all ages. Portraying the Von Trapp family are Kate Graeff as Maria, Elijah Slocum as Captain VonTrapp, Jackie Brochu as Liesl; Nathaniel Smith as Friederick, Emma Hanna as Louisa, Zachary Reynolds as Kurt, Rose Tuttle as Brigitta, Joy Stewart as Marta, and Reece Roma as Gretl. Also featured are Nellie Ickes Coon as Mother Abbess, Kelsie Dickey as Baroness Elsa von Schraeder, Daniel Blake as Max, Jonathan Nelson as Rolf, Griffin Downs as Franz, Faith Williams as Frau Schmidt, and Emily Smith as Sister Margaretta. This production also features a large chorus of supporting roles, a 14-piece live orchestra featuring many Mt. Ararat student musicians, and large stage crew. Director: Adam Blais. Producer: Kristen Thomas.

Orion Presents! Ben Zabin--The Magic Show (Nationally-touring) Fri., March 30, 7 pm
TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR AT 6 PM AFTER ONLINE SALES END AT 3 PM.
Ben is a hot new magician touring the country and on TV. Fun! Interactive! Fresh! Check out his website www.benzabin.com. No lame card tricks. No rabbits out of hats. Not your average magician. See him in action here. After touring the country to perform at various conventions, resorts, theaters, and more, Ben Zabin has learned the "ins and outs" of what works and what doesn't for his audiences. He knows that nobody wants to see that same boring coin trick again! Instead, he connects with his audiences via everything from innovative grand Las Vegas-style illusions, to mind blowing magic up close. Ben won't settle for anything short of spectacular. Due to his perfect blend of youth, maturity, humor, and pop culture awareness, Ben easily relates to audiences across the board. These reasons create this teen sensation's high demand by international audiences. Seen on stages at universities, five-star resorts, world class ballrooms, and convention centers, every show is different as each show varies by the audience; the only constant in Ben's award-winning performances is his engaging stage presence that makes for the show you'll never forget! Fundraiser for Orion Capital Projects--now raising funds for an installed ceiling projector and LED theatrical lighting upgrade.
